The b-NMR facility is located in ISAC-I at TRIUMF. It is a user facility where researchers can request beamtime through the Life Sciences (LSPEC) or Molecular and Materials Sciences Experiments Evaluation Committee (MMS-EEC).

 The facility has three dedicated spectrometers:

1.     a low-field with a magnetic field range of 0 - 240 G,

2.     a mid-field with fields 0 – 0.2 T,

3.     and a high-field with a superconducting solenoid capable of fields up to 9 T.

 Current spectrometer features:

·      He flow cryostats for temperature control between 3.5 and 317 K

·      Ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions (~10-10 Torr)

·      Electrically isolated high-voltage platform (up to 30 kV) for decelerating the radioactive ion beam

·      CCD cameras for imaging the beamspot
